Friday OT #2 - Superfluous

New DeWalt power tools. My whole fleet is the Ryobi brand. Which, for those who may not know, is the entry level tool brand. They're not bad, they get the job done, but the quality is lower and the accuracy is nowhere near the DeWalt or other higher brands. My tools work just fine right now, but I am coveting replacing them all with DeWalt.

Milwaukee will let you avoid the Hawk colors. ;)

A mid-century modern style platform bed and dresser. Either cherry or teak. Always surfin' Craigslist since new teak is pretty hard to find and pricey as hell. Did find and buy the teak display and credenza combo on CL I've wanted for a long time. Kinda silly to be shopping furniture at my age. Nice furniture is what you're supposed to buy when you're young so you can enjoy it for a long time.

#1) I have wanted to get a table top arcade video game console with the classic 80s video games. No idea where I'd put it, though.

#2) Also, I would love to have a jukebox that plays 45s. Would be cool to have my favorite singles in there. Again, no idea where I'd put it.

there is a company in Muscatine called Land of Oz that refurbishes arcade games. they will take a MsPac-man game and load up tons more games. They are shipping machines all over the country.

Basically anything and everything for my hobbies.

-I'd like to buy some new power tools - All mine are perfectly functional and do what I need.
-I'd like to buy some new camping/backpacking gear - Again, all of my stuff is in good shape and perfectly functional, plus opportunities to do that stuff around Houston is incredibly limited. I haven't been camping in like 2 years.
-I'd like to buy a new DSLR body - My Rebel is a borderline fossil at this point, but it still can do more than I am capable of doing (plus I've already spent money on good lenses 5+ years ago and those really made a huge improvement)

A solo canoe even though I have a kayak that fits my paddling style pretty perfectly.

Just easier to get in and out of.

Tesla. It would make zero financial sense for me but I want one. If/when they fix their fit/finish issues, I'll probably pull the trigger.
