I am a toast connoisseur. I used to have a shirt that said "I heart toast." You clearly are making it wrong if it needs egg snot to make it palatable!
I just bought a bunch of fiestaware! Orange ("poppy"), navy ("cobalt") and light blue ("lapis") to match our living and dining room. Did you know that you can build yourself out an entire expensive-ass dinnerware set in your chosen colors on their website? YOU CAN SPEND SO MUCH MONEY.

I just ate lunch but this thread is making me hungry already. Breakfast has always been my favorite!
McDs sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit is my #1 fast food item. Thank goodness their all-day breakfast didn't start until after I finished college. Chick-fil-a chicken, egg, and cheese biscuit gives it a run for its money though.
Eating breakfast out at a restaurant is always so difficult for me to decide if I want sweet (some sort of topped pancakes/waffles/french toast) or savory (eggs, hash browns, sausage) but I usually lean towards the savory options.
A couple weeks ago we made our own breakfast pizza since there's none to be found around here and it turned out pretty good but still no Casey's.

Are you a moody eater? Especially at breakfast? This is also hard for me, and it varies greatly by day and the mood that I'm in. There are some days when all I want is something sweet (usually French toast, as I generally am not a huge fan of pancakes or waffles), other days when all I want is savory. Is that a woman thing?
I am definitely NOT going to send that link to my wife.
I do like being able to toss plates/bowls into the oven and using them to cook in for some things.
Still a child at heart. While I love fluffy omelette with ham & cheese & a sauteed combo of mushrooms, onions & green pepper, that's way the heck too much work for me to do at home...and I never get them fluffy enough.
So my go-to is still my childhood favorite: Peek-a-boo eggs, done easy, with a little bacon & sausage on the side.
I like making those too, but I can never get them to come out just right. I think maybe it's because I've got a gas range and my wife only buys cheap aluminum pans, so we have hot spots where the flame hits and cooler spots in the middle.
I'd bust out the cast iron skillet for better results, but she always tries to soak it in soapy water afterwards, which means I have to reseason it every time.
I am never going to look at my peek-a-boo eggs in the same way again. Thank you for ruining my childhood, Angie!
Buy just one T-fal frying pan (like the one in my image). Tell your wife I said it was okay. Heat distribution is fantastic, and everything cooks evenly.
Hardee's B&G's will definitely do in a pinch. Burger King's are good too. Plus you mop up any excess gravy with those delicious potato crowns.
No I wouldn't say I'm a moody eater. I think it's more that the sweet options at restaurants aren't something we typically make at home so I lean towards wanting something different but then find it hard to convince myself that eating a plate full of carbs and sugar is a good idea. haha
I would recommend using what ever pancake recipe you use but separate the egg yolks from the white. Mix the yolks with your batter. Whip the egg whites to stiff peaks then gently fold the egg whites into the batter.
There is a distinct lack of breakfast tacos / breakfast burritos in this thread. Especially from a somewhat sketchy but way to good to pass up gas station / random food place.

You're in the South now, so just assume every option has carbs, sugar, and fat loaded up in it.
I miss having good breakfast tacos available to me. Living in Houston, you could just pick a place at random and it'd usually be great.

I bought a waffle maker at Penney's oh so many years ago with a gift card we got when we were married. Beeps when it's hot enough to start a waffle, beeps once the waffle's cooked. Never has steered us wrong. I WOULD have said it was an Oster, but I just checked and it's Toastmaster.
The only restaurant I go to for breakfast is VI, which is sad. Haven't been to a good ol' independent breakfast joint in a few years. The old feed store in my hometown, where they used to have the big Purina logo above the door, is now called Eggcetera Cafe. That's a Saturday morning fave of my parents. Pretty good food.
Oh, and for ACTUAL breakfast? Just give me buttered whole wheat toast and a big mug of hot tea with milk and sugar. I'm betting I make that tomorrow...may even add jelly.
