Friday OT #1 - Can't Stop, Won't Stop

What are terrible, awful movies that you can't stop watching?

My dad and brother used to watch Road House over and over when I was a child, to the point that I can yell at Janny to turn that crap if I hear even a sentence from three rooms away.

My kids love The Greatest Showman and I don't at all mind watching it with them, and I don't know why. It's not great cinema.

What are yours?

Any time Roadhouse is on I watch at least some of it.

I was in middle/high school when the original Independence Day was out, and liked it quite a bit.

Then I realized how it's actually quite a bad movie.

THEN I realized I almost enjoy it more due to how similar it is to typical B movies, including having so-so special effects even for 1996.

The Replacements was on the other day and I'll watch it whenever it's on kind of in that 'guilty pleasure' mode. It's not a good movie but there's really nothing wrong with it either. I think it's one of those that the actors were in on the joke enough that they could really ham it up.

Lots of people seem to think Demolition Man is a horrible movie, but its one of those that I'll stop and watch if I see it on my guide.

It's not really something I'd seek to watch again, but Nobody with Bob Odenkirk was a totally over the top action movie. Just couldn't buy a single thing that happened in that film, but enjoyed it all the same. Very 80's like

The movie that I watched was called Zombie Shark on SyFy.

It's a terrible movie with special effects that are so bad they are funny.

I couldn't help but watch it.

I love the "Pitch Perfect" franchise. Are they great movies? Nope. But they're like comfort food for me. I can put them on when I'm having a bad day, and not feel so bad.

I can't think of the last really good movie I saw. I mean, most are mediocre at best.

But I we love watching Lifetime movies. You can usually guess who-done-it within the first 10 minutes, but it's still fun.

Also, I always watch Con-Air when it's on TV. It's awful, but I love it.

I also get sucked in by Red Dawn (the original, not the Hemsworth remake).
