My wife grew up Baptist and she always jokes about me being left behind after "The Rapture". My response is "So half the people in the world are suddenly gone but they leave all their stuff behind? I'm not seeing the downside."
If that happens, @JP4CY has a couple jet skis that are going to see more hang time than an skateboard at the x games

The problem with picking blue is that you are putting your livelihood into the control of other actors who don't know you and are not guaranteed to be rational. It would seem that the chance of reaching a clean majority is not that high.

Red is selfish self-preservation, but puts your situation entirely in your own hands. You control your destiny. With Blue, you don't.

As long as the two colors are not red and green, it all works.

Don't be so sure

I'm pushing blue. If I pushed red and all my friends and family end up dying because they hit blue, I'd end up wishing I died with the blue crowd anyway so what's the point of living through that?

On the other side, if I pushed blue and they all pushed red, and I'm the only one who dies, we'll that's for them to deal with. I'll be dead so I won't care.

This was a question that I saw going around the internet, and it's a modified trolley problem. Angie asked that I it as a Friday Free Thread since she's in a meeting this morning:

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button do you press?

Team Red

I live either way
