They are showing it on ESPN now. He just started the climb if you want to watch/re-watch it.
His brain is literally not wired the same as your average JoeThis is a great watch.
I am a pretty adventurous guy, moved to Colorado to do more outdoors, 'on the edge stuff'.
When I watched what this guy does I couldn't sleep for a week. Infinitely more courage than I could ever hope to have.
The crazy mf'er is smiling while he is doing it.
We visited some friends in CO and watched this with them a while back. I get vertigo when looking over edges and had a ton of "pucker" moments watching it, but holy crap it was amazing.
I've played on some climbing walls for bouldering etc before i was fat, and it's ridiculous that at like 1000ft off the ground the size of some of his toe holds or "crimps" are like just the tip of a finger or two... As many have mentioned, he's definitely not wired like the rest of us.
Not going to lie, seeing this thread get bumped stressed me out. I figured he fell and died. I'll have to check this new show out. Love everything Honnold does.Check out his latest show on National Geographic called Arctic Ascent. First 2 episodes were tonight.
Anyone interested in this should check out The Alpinist. Honnold appears in it talking about the guy who the film is about.
Absolutely unreal documentary.
He is an interesting dude. My wife wants to watch this live. I personally can't handle watching stuff like this live because of my "fear of falling from that height" as he puts it (instead of fear of heights).
