Is it bad to watch the QB’s throw on the sidelines in between Time Outs…mentally chart the throws and the tight or non tight spiral, with Zip or non-zip?

No Rocco hater here but Manske wins every time. LOL

people need to realize this.....Matt is not an offensive guru and it doesn't matter who we have at OC....there's always going to be a ceiling to any offense because Matt is afraid of being innovative on that side of the ball

Don’t completely disagree but he’s 21-21 in conference the last 5 years. There’s a reason he’s no longer mentioned in all of these coaching searches.

I know it’s a different level and probably apples and oranges , but….

I watched Jaxon Dart on a Must get first down 3rd and 7. Under immense pressure look left , right , then fire a strike in a tight window across the middle for a first down.
Like I said apples and oranges at this point but wow.

Well there’s a reason he’s a starting QB in the NFL. Only 32 people can say that out of all the college QBs playing on 265 FBS/FCS teams.

So at what level do we expect our QB to “act”?

IMO, if a QB can process the route concept, process the throw and then Make the throw.

All are time dependent.

If you can process both and then throw, the fastest , you are elite.

Each metric diminishes the overall success. Hard to quantify

The defense lacks dudes in a major way.

When I think of the best big 12 teams: BYU, Utah, ASU, etc - and then I think about Linebackers or DL that we have that would start there.
Kooper Ebel LB, probably.
There would be exactly ZERO defensive lineman we have that would start for high end Big 12 D's.

We have to totally retool and develop more guys there.

I think this is where having an older coordinator can struggle. You telling me they’re putting in the hours scouting? What about recruiting? Seems like Heacock is more the old school focus on the system and develop the pieces into it.

We sub way too much on offense and try to get too many guys involved. Seems like alot of Rocco’s throws are one step quick or slow and it seems like it’s because of the guy he is throwing to.
