Just watched replay of the OU game. Just into the game, FX announcers said that the Fire Alarm was pulled 4 times the night before the game at the Iowa State Hotel, same hotel they were staying at. WTF.

Where is the Des Moines Register to report something like this. Does anyone have more details on this? I can't believe this was very good for the Team?

Has been discussed. Didn't seem to phase our Defense.

Even if it's not an excuse for the game result, it's a pretty poor reflection on Norman and their fans. I'd be embarrassed if the same happened in Ames, it's worth talking about.

Old school hijinks.

Talked to a friend who is a manager about this. He said he woke up thinking he was back in the dorms because it was the same alarm. He also said it might have been a malfunction since it only went off for a couple minutes the first time and the last three times it started for about 30 seconds then stopped after the "Attention attention" part. No one evacuated the building at any time.

What has OSU done? Boone put some money into the program but I have never heard a hint of impropriety.

You stay classy OU. When victory starts being more important than honor it is a slippery slope to the land of OSU or even PSU.

this did happen...happened around 2am so it definetely didn't help..

source is a ISU football player

We all have a brain cramp now and then.

OU isn't trying to cover it up. In fact I listened to their radio guys doing pregame and they were joking about it.

I've got to believe that pulling a fire alarm has got to be some sort of a criminal offense. One time - OK accidents happen, but four times??

Why isn't the search on for the offender? Don't most decent hotels have some sort of video surveillance in their hallways?

ISU should ask if any other opposing teams stayed in the hotel in question and if they had anything like this happen.

It wasnt an old school fire alarm, its one of the electronic deals that newer buildings have. They go haywire pretty often, also tells exactly where the fire is in the building.....if theres an actual fire.
