You shut his ass up by beating him. I know what your're saying but they won. "If you can do it, it ain't bragging" as the saying goes. And nobody was talking about Florida this year really even though they were 1# seed. You heard Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama, and just about everyone but Florida and they pulled it off. I've never seen a team accomplish what they have while getting so little of recognition honestly. I was really surprised how much better they were than Auburn honestly. I mean I realize it was a good game but they were better in every area and I think most of us(including me) thought Auburn was the team to beat.
Really? A majority of the so-called experts (Bilas, Greenberg, Jay Williams, Medcalf, etc.) all picked Florida. They were the trendy pick going into the tournament.

Look up Golden. He’s a real scum bag.

They were not as talked about as a lot of the SEC teams throughout most of the season. Lots of times scumbags win. Ever heard of Bod Knight? The guy was a POS human. The good ones often are.

I know Sampson is a HOF coach but they actually ran no offense in the second half. Lots of possessions where they just dribbled 30 feet from the basket and then try to make a one on one move at the end of the shot clock while the defense collapsed on them. Really bad last 5 minutes.

Reminded me of watching “bad ISU” this year. When we were successful, we looked more like Houston during the first 35 mins. When we struggled we looked more like Houston during the last 5 mins.

Credit to Florida for really buckling down on the defensive end during the last 8-10 mins, it’s what won them the game.

and only committing (or at least getting called for) 2 fouls during that last 10 mins while playing that tight defense . . . .

TF you talking about? Florida was the 2nd most popular pick (after Duke) among CBS brackets to win the championship. They DID NOT fly under the radar by any stretch.

Espn also. In my office pool Florida was the 2nd most popular pick behind Duke. I'm not sure where these people are getting their "under the radar" info from.

Houston blowing it resulted in me losing out on around 100 bucks in our office pool. Hella lame.

Were Tuggler and Francis out with foul trouble when Florida made their run in the mid 2nd half?

Those guys are absolute enforcers, so I can see them being out leading to Florida's improved ability to score.

yes they were out. After Florida got T'd up, the fouls started to go the other way and after a few minutes, those two were on the bench.

Florida got very lucky with the calls that helped tilt some games in their direction. Two big 12 teams had them dead to rights before choking and a little ref help. It is what it is.
