Ferentz to the NFL???

Seems like perfect timing for Kirk. Jets have an opportunity to draft a generational QB, Who better than BF to develop an elite talent. Plus he would be able to reunite with his BFF Doyle.

Timely post. Sooner than later........

Stanley is available as a tutor also. Maybe Ferentz will actually take Wilson this time around.

Why leave now though? He has a generational QB at Iowa (the generation before the forward pass). And why would he want to deal with that whole politically correct world of the NFL? I mean, they can't even threaten to send their players back to the ghettos. How do you motivate someone otherwise?

That shipped sailed years ago. Even with Captain KKKirk current ship that is sinking, why would he be looking at the Titanic of all NFL football teams in the J-E-T-S Jets! Jets! Jets? :jimlad: :jimlad:

Good place to bail to if the lawsuit is going to get out of hand for him.

Then again, the NFL (even the NFL, for that matter) is less inclined to look the other way than it used to be.

I think KF NFL boat sailed a while ago.

Iowa City is probably the last bastion of 'good ole boy' leadership left in sports and that is where KF will have to spend the rest of his career. Hopefully, that is the next 5-10 years and hopefully it is a smooth transition to Brian when he is done.

Iowa football will be like a living museum of College Football for the next 25 years letting the sportsworld see how things were before culture, the players and appropriateness mattered.

It is kind of brilliant how Barta architected this though, or lucky maybe. They can have a completely antiquated, incestual approach and still win 6, 7, 8 games because of conference alignment, scheduling and lack of a sophisticated fan base. probably the only place in America you could see it come together like this.

I doubt he goes nfl but you never know. He could go the John Beilein from Michigan route. Take a job for 30 million for 5 years with no hope of ever succeeding. Get fired after two years and collect the full 30 million

Kurt Ferret isn't going anywhere. He prob wants to hand the reigns to his son. You know the one who lived in gov subsidized housing for 55$ a month when Kurt made 3.5 mil per year.
