There is also an interesting price dynamic to this game: You start with "100 million pounds" to spend on your players. For example, Carlos Tevez is priced at 9.0m in week one. Let's say that Carlos goes out and scores a hat trick the first game - you can expect that everyone that doesn't have Carlos is going to want him next week, right? The more people that buy Carlos, the more his price will go up. I won't get too much into the dynamics of how prices increase/decrease, but you will figure it out.
Each week you are allowed one 'free transfer' - or a chance to change one player in your team without a penalty. Each additional transfer will cost you 4 points. Sometimes taking points hits can be good, but most of the time it is a bad idea.
Also, this is important! You must pick a 'Captain' of your squad each week. This player will receive double points.
