F1 2026 Discussion

Leclerc crashing renders this moot, but having him pit immediately behind Hamilton while Hamilton is serving his 5s penalty was diabolical. I understand preserving team dynamics, but that felt like favoring Hamilton so he could keep a position he would have lost.

I don't like Russell, so seeing him struggling is entertaining to me, especially since some seem very self inflicted. It's clear Mercedes have the best car, but also Kimi is the better driver.

After qualifying, I thought it was going to be the start of Max making a title push again. The Red Bull car does seem to be coming together, and Hadjar being able to get 3rd is at least somewhat of proof of that. But I really wished we could have seen how that race would have turned out with Max in it the whole time.

Yeah has to be a gut punch for George to realize he's not the "man" on that team anymore.

Yuki complains to much over the radio

Hadjar: hold my beer

Honestly Monoco sucks as a race. I get why they run it because it’s legendary and there is a crap tin of money. However, the only way the race gets good is if a bunch of wrecks happen. Otherwise qualifying is the key. Also, does Red Bull have real speed again or was it just this track. Would love to see what kimi does if Max starts doing Max stuff and gaining on him

Gutted for Charles after that race.. As much as we all like to bag on Stroll I don't think you can blame either one of them for crashing with the way the asphalt was deteriorating. That was one of the better races in Monaco for a while. Sign me up for more of those.

Anything ever come out after the race about the pit lane speeding penalties? I saw a clip of Alpine out with a measuring wheel but didn't see a follow-up anywhere.

I haven't seen anything other than the speculation that they were cutting through Cadillac's stall a bit at the end of pit lane.

Just googled it and apparently they measured all the lines and stuff and came out that they were just cutting the line and it was speeding. Apparently they warned them all before the race as well.
