F1 2026 Discussion

I watched most of FP1 last night but not FP2. Was FP2 more smooth than FP1 or we're there still the random issues stopping popping up all over (McLaren shifting/power, VCARB random stoppage, etc.)? Did Fernando run at all yesterday?

FP2 had more issues, Franco damn near stopped on the main straight and caused an issue. Checo didn't get a lot of laps, they had sensor issues.

Linblad went 7th or 8th fastest on a quali lap.

Unless something drastic happens soon I don't see there being a race in the month of April. Maybe that's enough time for Aston and Honda to get enough spares built to at least run a race but we'll see.

I honestly can't believe how much they have screwed up this sport for no reason. Just to save a little gas? It's almost criminal they took a sport at it's absolute height in popularity and basically started over with new cars. I was a little excited when they announced it. I just thought it was a few changes but this is completely stupid. Smartest car guys in the world can't figure out how to get a car put together. Best driver's in the world basically saying it's stupid. Reminds me of when NASCAR was at it's height and they went to restrictor racing and basically drove the sport into the ground minus a few races.

F1 changes is regulation set frequently though. It's part of the sport. It was a **** show at the start of the turbo-hybrid era in 2014, ground effect cars in 2022 change everything a ton, etc. Every 5 years or so the cars/driving changes fundamentally. Drivers/teams ***** about it every time and then in a year or two it's worked itself out just in time for a little bit of good, stable racing before another reg change.

I don't think there's any way Bahrain or Jeddah happen. Hell, with the way things are going, Las Vegas might close out the season.

IDK, I like the chaos and the soft reset of the top contenders. Reg changes also bring some cool engineering and some wild interpretations and loopholes. I dig it and it's one of my favorite things about the sport.

Not much for run time in FP3 because of the red flags. Quali starting soon. Should be chaos.

We’ll see if Antonelli can get out there. His crash was pretty bad but it didn’t sound like a chassis change was needed

What sucks is I have F1TV premium paid out until July and the F1TV app on my ipad and iphone won't let me use it without subscribing to apple tv.

F1 is trying their best to lose viewers at this point. Should not be this hard to
Watch it. Apple TV isn’t even giving me the f1 option so I have to watch it on f1 tv and share screen to my TV

F1 has a TV app. Shouldn’t be any need to screen share. Also it was all over my main screen on AppleTV. Even had a popup when I opened AppleTV to go directly to the feed.

I wish, my sony tv doesn't have the app, apparently an issue with specific models, and my Roku TV has the app but it's just a snowstorm since sometime last year. So I have had to cast it from my phone/pc for awhile now. I don't know if I'm just some super unique case or if they're just that bad at it.

My Samsung does not have the app either.

Anyway poor Lewis has to be dying to see Merc back at the top and Ferrari being Ferrari

So after one qualifying session it looks like Merc dominance is back in a big way, Hadjar is a worthy teammate for Max, and Ferrari disappoints yet again.

I’m watching from the F1 TV app on Roku
