F1 2026 Discussion

Annnnd WE ARE BACK. Thank god, i need more distractions.

Williams is said to be 20-30KGs over weight, add on that they aren't running the private shakedown, i think it spells issues for 26. Which is really odd to me.

Not great for a team who spent all of last year talking about how they're all in on the 2026 car

What’s the private shakedown

Basically all teams who are able, and it seems like Williams and Aston aren't going to be there. It's really a test to make sure all the systems are working as they should.

Next week it's finding pace, and how do we go racing.

Bahrain is, alright what kind of car do we have and how quick are we really.

Guessing it'll be like the "secret" scrimmages we used to do for bball. Not that secret but they don't have to do press conferences.

Ok, that makes sense. When the blond lady owned Williams didn’t they hire like an old school lead engineer and had the same thing happen?

You talking 2019 Williams? Yeah, they almost folded before and after that, which led to Claire essentially selling the team.

I don't particularly think it was all Claire's fault, but there was a LOT of mismanagement in design and funding.

When things are that bad it’s never one person’s fault.

I like the look of the Audi, looks old school.

From the few shots of the cars that got out today they look noticeably smaller IMO.

Doesn't let me embed the link but I think it should go to the day 1 "highlights", not much to report on but at least it's cars on the track.
