Check out the numbers on the guy Zeb is backing up! He could be a pretty high draft pick in a few years.

Wow those are eye popping. Most impressive stat to me is zero interceptions in 18 games played. And he is only going to be a Sophomore. The only way I see Noland getting a chance is if Lance gets injured, which is always a possibility with a running QB. On the bright side he will probably be part of a National Championship (FCS).

Ames
WR Jalen Martin is now at Pittsburg State for his final season.

I think Jake Lattimer's brother is an assistant coach at that school.

their new HC was the guy that Jason Candle brought on as the OC/QB coach at Toledo right after Campbell and Co. came to Ames. not sure exact timeline of him getting hired there but he may have had some contact with Martin before he flipped to ISU. Also, former ISU OL Bryan Larson is their OL coach/RGC

Lol. We had a punter transfer to Ohio State? When? Also, how's that working out for you, little buddy?

I haven't seen a depth chart for them...wonder if he's going to start. It looks like they don't play their first game until 10/10.
They have a RS Sr coming back who's been a 2 year starter. He's not great, but would probably be difficult to unseat him. Re-Al will battle several youngsters for the primary backup.

Yes, Temple doesn't have their first game until Oct 10th. Interestingly it will be against Navy, who will be playing their 4th game by that time if it all shakes out as scheduled.

Russo is the starter. He's not great, like you said, but he's not half bad either. I don't see Re-al beating out a 5th year senior, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. They will probably get him some reps still.

How is he immediately eligible? I thought if you went from D1 to D1 you had to sit out a year? (maybe I'm off.)

lot of waivers being handed out. ISU basketball has benefited from those as of late
e.g. Rasir Bolton, Tyler Harris, probably Blake Hinson

NDSU QB Trey Lance ended his college career and will prepare for the NFL draft. Could be good news for Zeb, but it's a mistake if you ask me. An FCS QB that only has one season under his belt should want to put together some more film for scouts. I like this kid so I hope everything works out for him.
