Are you sure you're willing to give them the benefit of the doubt? Are you 100% sure that you want to give them the benefit of the doubt? Right now, on a scale of 1 to 10, how committed are you to giving them the benefit of the doubt? You've not given them the benefit of the doubt in the past, can you say with 100% certainty you will give them the benefit of the doubt this time? Are you looking at any other options besides giving them the benefit of the doubt?

Remember the Peter Jok thing? We were somewhat on him, but the Lefty Moore thing then came out and showed we really couldn't recruit him.
Fred is smart. If there is an option/way for Malou, I'm sure they are looking into it, but also making sure they are not setting themselves up for something bad.
Problem with his coach according to WHO-TV report last night is that he is a con man. He takes money to coach and house these poor kids, but doesn't pay the bills. He wrote a bad check to a church in DM for a van, and hasn't paid bills for his or the kids housing. The kids are actually going to get booted from their apartments 'cause no-one's paid rent.
WHO talked to a kid's mom in DM who dipped into her 401k to pay the guy $600 for 10 coaching sessions, and Alexander disappeared after the first one.
If any credentials are needed for his time at this "prep school", there might be a lot of red flags.

I do not use twitter (over 40), but it appears that Malou has gone back to Australia from his tweet saying "beautiful morning in Melbourne" a few days ago. I wish the best for him.

Guess I didn't think about that, but I guess I was relating it to the ABCD prep school falling apart and the Channel 13 special on it.
I doubt he would just go straight to Australia. A kid with his talent would be able to find somewhere else to play. He wouldn't just give up and go straight to Aussieland and give up on his dream like that.
For what it's worth, the guy who owned the gym said he had taken 3 players from ABCD Prep under his wing as that was unfolding. On that guys twitter, he had a few tweets talking about a good workout with Malou and 2 other guys. I wondered if those were the 3 he was looking out for since they were foreign.
I think there's still a chance we get Malou in the long run (either after a "greyshirt" year or juco), but I'm not holding my breath. It's really too bad that someone would take advantage of these kids and their parents who just want to do what's best for their kids. I wish them all the best.
What happened to this kid? I would do occasional check ups on twitter to see what's going on in his life, and he would tweet 5x a day, but hasn't tweeted for over a week now. Is he completely out of being able to play next year?
I thought someone found info stating there was no way he was going to qualify without going to a JuCo first.

He's back in Austrailia so that's probably a good indicator that ship has sailed.

With Percy gone, if Fred could get this kid into school, he'd be a great addition, whether he has to sit out a year or not.
