EMBASSY SUITES HOTEL PHOENIX-TEMPE

Booked one room for the 30th and 31st. What all is included in the "Manager's Reception"?

free drinks

Guests are invited at every stay to our Manager’s Reception* each evening in our lush, open-air atrium. Grab a beverage and chat with fellow guests and staff. Whether you’re coming back from a long day of work or settling down from a day on the town, sit back, relax, and enjoy your favorite alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Where is close then? Courtyard is sold out

I booked at both Hyatt and Embassy. The Hyatt, looks like its 1.5 miles and Embassy is 3.5. Trying to decide between the 2, they are the same price.

Embassy.

Flag guy, mharder and myself will be there.

Pretty sure I'll be with Flag Guy...

I booked us a room there yes, though we're going with the college method of we are there for 2 nights, there are 2 beds and 4 people. We each get one night in a bed, one night on the floor

May be an airmatress and a pull out sofa in there... I dunno

suppose to have sofa sleepers....hopefully.

(waits for planes, trains and automobiles photo)

'those aren't pillows!"

pull out sofa in there

Will not crack joke about...will not crack joke about...

Looks like on the map we have to drive out of the parking lot and follow Rural Road pretty much the whole way. Good move Flag Guy.

Yeah I just double checked that and there is atleast one... probably 2 sofas (I don't know if both fold out)

It also occurs to me that I need to retract my previous statement... as "college method" and "Hilton" really don't belong in the same context  Oh sure I've stayed in a nice hotel before as a college student, with 4 people in a 2 bedroom no sofa room, but that was subsidized by the university.

For something like this... anything over $60/night is too expensive, so really this is some pretty fancy accomidations for a college-esque road trip

The Embassy Suites has a free shuttle to and from the airport
-free drinks nightly, include mixed drinks all you want
-a fully cooked to order FREE breakfast, omlets, eggs, pancakes etc. One of the best breakfasts anywhere imo.
-hopefully they will shuttle Cyclones to the stadium as well. They seem very accomodating.

what is all this AAA and AA specials talk?

American Automotive Association or whatever the hell AAA stands for gives you hotel discounts

And AA for those who plan to drink too much at the managers reception at the hotel

And actually AA is Alumni Association, but I couldn't resist the joke
