EA Sports NCAA Football game

After learning on the Kickin' It podcast that Dan McCarney almost took the job to upstart the South Alabama program, I decided to do a dynasty with the Jaguars.

I feel like the South Alabama spread playbook isn't as extensive as other playbooks. Maybe that's because it's a freshman quarterback starting.

South Alabama was fun in the old games because I'd get one stud rushing qb prospect and just absolutely go to work on the swac or sun belt or whatever garbage they were in.

3-3-5 right now. I also haven’t played defense since NCAA 2013 so I really really don’t know what I’m doing.

3-3-5 is a decent coverage D but leaves you open to being gashed on the run. I’d suggest trying a 4-2-5 or nickle/big nickle set to get/keep pressure on qb, but also have bodies at the LOS. As i previously mentioned, try mixing up your playcalls and see if that helps.

Lastly check your settings for ‘defensive assist’ and ‘switch assist’. Having those on after not playing in 11 years should help you.

My 18 year old son just challenged me to a game. He was all talk but his old man that hadn’t played a football video game in 20 years scored with 30 seconds left for the win!! I still don’t know what buttons I pushed.

Of course I sent a snap to all his buddies showing what defeat looks like!!

I’m officially retired from this game undefeated.

In dynasty mode, the team overall ratings are different than in play now mode. Is this a bug? Does everyone have this?

I’ve been using Central Michigan as the OC in my dynasty. Big fan of their backup QB (my starter) with 90 speed running the full option.

I don’t really get how the kicking meter is giving people problems.
I've been playing on Varsity and haven't had issues with kicking.

But then I saw clips of the meter on AA and Heisman and I'd have no hope of success with that thing.

How are you guys already one year three in a dynasty? Simulating the games and only doing the recruiting and coaching skills?
I play 3-4 games in the regular season and then anything in the post season. Not playing every game makes it go quite a bit faster, but the real culprit for me was the 7 hours I played on release day.

I don't think the EA servers have a great system when it comes to tracking the ten hour trial. Last night it said I have five hours of trial left and there's no way I had only play five hours before that. I played about two hours last night. Saving about three hours for tonight. Then full release tomorrow morning 11am so tomorrow night the degenerate hours commence.

Finally starting to get some guys to commit to ISU. Recruiting is much harder than NCAA 14.

3 star gem DT
4 star gem DB
3 star gem FB
4 star gem WR

Apparently the Transfer Portal recruiting has a "glitch" but I don't see how they can otherwise fix it...

At the end of the transfer portal season, if you are going after some high level transfers you thought you had no shot at, as long as you're at the top of their interest list they will pick your school at the end. He may never officially commit but he has to be placed somewhere.

It’s probably due to players improving over the season or players declining from the wear and tear mechanic
