(I didn't see this posted in another thread) The Rock, his former wife Dany Garcia, and Redbird Capital buy the XFL from Vince McMahon for 15 million. Call it the XFL 3.0. I like the Rock, he has been a successfully WWE wrestler and actor. Hopefully him and his business partners can make this venture work. https://xflboard.com/news/xfl-3-0-what-do-we-know-what-dont-we-know/
Don't forget that he had a promising football career before some guy named Warren Sapp took his starting position at The U.

Seems like a relatively low cost, high risk opportunity. But, if it works I can see the NFL buying this as a minor league system in a few years for big money. The turmoil in CFB probably give this a better shot than a few years ago. Setup your business as a replacement to CFB rather than washed up NFL guys.

You know how you make $1,000,000? Start with $15,000,000 then watch $14,000,000 swirl the drain...

I don't have a lot of faith that the xfl will ever be successful, but 15 million is not a huge investment, considering. The Rock isn't exactly hurting for cash. It's a flyer, for sure.

Google machine says his net worth is $320M. So, even if it was 100% his money, it's 5% of his portfolio. Not a big risk for him, really.
