DRONES

I read a post on X asserting that they are doing radiation detection sweep drills to gauge the reaction of the general public to seeing something like that. That sort of makes sense as you wouldn't want to announce the drill or you'd spoil the results, and you don't want incite panic should the need ever arise.
Who is to say it is a drill?

These drones have been flying for several weeks so it is surprising that it's taken this long to get more attention. I'm also surprised some random person has not shot one down trying to get to the bottom of it too. They also were flying over Langley air base which has caught the attention of some elected officials why we would allow anything to be over our air space of a government installation. Something seems really fishy why they allow this to happen and don't disclose what we know about them.

I've got two theories:

1) Army war games featuring drones to test next generation battle fields.

2) Soft launch of a drone taxi or delivery service.

Occam’s Razor probably gonna strike again. Did anyone go down to the flats and check in on the Drone Show startup that just moved in to the old brake pad warehouse?

Do people have the right to shoot down a drone that is over their property? I think the answer is no, but it should be yes. There is nothing good about spying without accountability, limitations or recourse.
While you may own property, you don't own the air space directly above that property, so you cannot legally shoot down a drone for trespassing.

I don't care about people shooting down drones, I do care about random people shooting off guns into the air. I have enough idiot neighbors doing that already and I haven't even seen any drones.

So if someone is flying one over your property and lingering / spying, whats your recourse? Call the cops? Theyre coming too late if ever. The FAA? Bigger lol.

Legally, i think you cant operate out of line of sight, correct? So if i can see the operator, we will have words, friendly ones hopefully. But if i cant see the operator, and its operated illegally? Id be real tempted to take a shotgun to it. Or one of those guns that fire nets like in cartoons. Wth are you doing something illegal around my house?

Im talking little drones here, not like long range big ones.

What about the operation (flying one over someone's house) makes it necessarily illegal?
