How ******* vain does Hollywood have to be look at Lipsey get tackled? Not only didn't he crawl in a hole but he added a half second to the clock. Is is not obviously Higgins & Co who have the problem with ISU being tied in standings w KU?

Better yet, dust off the Johnny Orr tapes. His in-bound plays were as good as it gets. It’s obvious. Hire Hoiberg as a low level out of bounds specialty coach.
I think that's in the Big 12 bi laws actually.Iowa state teams are required to struggle with it.
That particular play, I will say, had a lot of people standing around.I haven't noticed an issue this year.
The turnover on Lipsey towards the end wasn't a scheme or Tamin's fault.
That was the fault of the refs swallowing their whistle on an obvious mugging.
Shoon is an 89% FT shooter, why wouldn't you want him on the line?
Inbounding is to basketball what FG kicking is to football.
Yes, we suck at it. We’ve always sucked at it. Regardless of coach.
Yes, Fred had some good inbound plays. Kane confirmed that when he inbounds the ball to himself off of TRex Woodbury’s back and got the and 1.
yeah, I see why trying to find the biggest target on the court who shoots almost 90% doesn't seem to make much sense...It wasn't pretty. Near the end of the game there are certain guys that you don't want to get the pass and get fouled. so it is harder than it looks. Shoon is one of those guys, but he came through when he had too.
I can never watch this clip without laughing!!!Yes, Fred had some good inbound plays. Kane confirmed that when he inbounds the ball to himself off of TRex Woodbury’s back and got the and 1.
They could get it in. Lipsey had his guy juked, but got tackled. Otherwise it would have been a clean and fairly easy throw in. If the defense is allowed you wrap their arms around the offensive player and take them to the ground, then yeah, it's going to be difficult to inbound the ball.At that point ISU still had 2 timeouts. Should have used one of them when they couldn't get it in.
I don't like when the refs stand there waiting for the defense to get set. If the in-bounder is ready, and wants the ball, they need to give it to him and start the play. There is no obligation to wait for the defense to be ready.I listened to the game on the radio and Walters was super pissed the refs took so long getting Grill the ball on the inbounds play. He said they had been working on a "home run" play to Holmes all week for that exact situation. When the ref took so long Porter Moser noticed what ISU was setting up and told his team to watch for Holmes breaking for the basket. Walters was not happy to say the least.
