No one on the west coast gives a crap about the pac12 as well.
What that Pac needs is an infusion of midwestern care. I'd like to see some sort of scheduling agreement that gets us (big12) playing in front of west coast kids and gets the Pac teams more TV exposure. I'd love to lock in to trips out west every year.

This would make a lot of sense.

Oregon football was so bad until the late 80s that the only time the stadium was ever full was a Dead concert. Imagine hordes of unwashed hippies as far as the eye can see. Oh god, the smell still haunts me.

Unfortunately they bred too. I'm going to go way out on a limb here and guess that the Cyclone fanbase does not include a pretty substantial contingent of pretentious hipster d-bags who support a violent revolution against capitalism in order to attain gender equity?

That's the predominant mindset of this forum, be prepared. It's free, what would you expect. The owner is very outspoken about his political ideas which don't seem to align with you.

We have a political forum that is pretty active. Go on over and find out for yourself. Our very own doctor of rocks could use some help.

If you don't see it listed, just change your profile and opt in to the political forum.

This came up some time ago. I think one of the issues with BYU was that they wouldn't play on Sundays. Also, I think the talk included BSU as the PAC would only add "pairs" if they were going to make changes. Probably 2 pairs making 2 eight team divisions. Plus, I think both would have to do serious upgrades across the athletic and academic departments to qualify for the PAC-12.

Oklahoma and Texas would make a great add in my opinion.
That narrative sort of falls apart when you compare where UU and BYU were when the Utes were added. BYU and Boise are not comparable as institutions.

I would rather get a lap dance from Amy Schumer than argue politics on a public forum.

Careful, Kimber might be on her period.
It's Kimberly dammit. Show some respect.

I was listening to some stand-up on the way to work and Schumer came on. I just went ahead and drove into a tree. There was no saving the car at that point.

I think she failed to evolve and that schtick got tired. We get it, you're easy... She was so funny years ago on O&A, and she was great when I saw her at the Comedy Cellar in '12. That night was an insane line up - Amy, Keith Robinson, John Mullaney, Tom Popa, Robert Kelly, and Jim Norton! One night, $10/ticket.

I'm prety sure Amy Schumer is straight. Since you can't have your top fantasy come true, you could drop in on the political forums. You would fit right in.

As a guy who sat in Autzen during the 80s with maybe a quarter or a third of the stadium filled, and who watched Greatful Dead concerts in Autzen as well, and who knows how great the state of Oregon was back in that era, it's refreshing to hear you and the ratherbeyachting gent throw at least a tiny little bit of shade towards what the State has become. I left around ~2005.

Now for your Iowa State fans, this thread was renamed to "Dis the Ducks". Winning begets a knowledgeable fanbase who understands good natured shite posting - something ya'll obviously don't have much experience with - but nobody here is going to strap on a jock for the game, so have some pride in your team and get to dissing please.
I don’t want my views misinterpreted. I like the way Oregon is governed, and if anything wish it was even more progressive. The other states will eventually catch up, it’s inevitable. Oregon decriminalized pot in 1972, and time has shown that was the right choice. The new drug laws are common sense, no sense in a criminal history to ruin someone’s life for a small amount of drugs. But hey, what do I know about which laws work or not just because I went to law school and saw this stuff all the time.
It always gets me when outsiders paint Portland as some anarchic wasteland, while people from all over the country flock here in ever greater numbers. My house has appreciated six figures in two and a half years, people here earn more than in all but a few places around the US, I have beautiful protected natural spaces a hop and a skip away, incredible food, and economic growth - if someone moved away in 2005 they really missed out. I’ve lived in other places, traveled extensively, and there aren’t many places comparable to Oregon for quality of life.
