Yea I kind of agree. He's very talented, just needs a good start and some confidence and he'll be just fine.

No, he won't be just fine. If Shough plays we likely lose. Purdy vs Shough is not a comparison.

We aren't winning because of him, we're winning in spite of him.

hey guyz coach hines here 2x high school coach of the year

love the fighting.

Aww, poor little ksu fan probably forget what happened the last time we matched up together in the Fiesta bowl.

The game was over, what, 11 seconds in after the DeAnthony Thomas TD?

(BTW, we wish we had those kind of burners on offense)
thanks seems every board has to have one of those.

Honestly, are they wrong? Who else would be? USC has been mediocre pretty much since Carroll left. Stanford hasn’t been good for a while now.
Oregon took some years off too, but I’m not sure what the metric is. Washington has been solid as well.

I do understand why you feel that way. He's definitely had some problems. So you'd start Brown?

I just haven't given up on him yet.

I do think Brown should start at QB but I also think that Mario is too loyal to his players and that Shough will start and we'll see that weird QB Carousel like in the USC game.

I also think that for as much as Shough has struggled this year, that if Brown gives us above-average play and the Defense plays like they did against USC that ISU should be very worried about their chances.

Greetings Cyclone fans. Thanks for having me on your forum.

I'm looking forward to this match up, if only because these two schools have never met. I don't have any sharp Oregon analysis for you, mostly because I think the Ducks are something of a mystery. They've not had a real opportunity to gel this season, so I agree with the poster who said ISU is the better team. Still, Oregon has quite a bit of talent, but they aren't the Sooners, that's for sure.

I can't argue with the criticism of Shough; he's been inconsistent to say the least. But to me it's the old expression "You dance with the one who brung ya." I think it would be a mistake to throw Brown out there against ISU's defense with only a handful of snaps under his belt.

I'm also not sure about Oregon being the "marquee west coast team," but I don't know if the west coast has one of those. Oregon has won four NY6 bowl games in the past decade, which is more than any other school in the west over that span. The Mark Helfrich experiment was obviously a failure, and then the Ducks had "One Year Willy" Taggart, but they seem to be on the right track with Cristobal.

Indiana, Northwestern, BYU, Coastal Carolina, or any other Top 20 team, even Iowa, would have been better for Cy and B12 fans.
No they wouldn't. I like playing Oregon instead. Indiana and Northwestern suck and give me no excitement at all. BYU lost to Costal and didn't play anyone else.

For Duck fans on here, Surly is a Kansas State fan who likes to spam this site.

Long time ISU fan and Duck fan. I am originally from out West and have been a Duck fan long before they were winning and were cool. Was at a Ducks Game last year at Autzen stadium..nice setup and people. Also have family that live in Eugene. My wife and I always said that if ISU and Oregon were in a bowl, we were going. So bummer for this year. Regardless, ISU will have its hands full due to their team speed. Oregon doesn't have that "IT" so far that I have seen in previous years. Maybe just youth. They are very well coach and have elite speed. ISU wins this though! GO State!

NOTE Cyclists: Cycle Oregon needs to be on your bucket list if you are serious about riding.
