DEPTH CHART IS OUT!

And, yet, both are listed as #2s in the depth chart. What gives?
It's week 0, against a top 3? conference opponent, where there is zero film on our WR transfers at ISU. You think Campbell is going to reveal his hand in this situation? They have some film on Green, Overby, and Eskildsen - let them prepare for those three. Now, I do think a lot of WR's will play. But as the year goes on, I think we will see Sowell and Townsend (when healthy) separate themselves from the pack

I'm not sure if people know that watching film is a part of the equation.

It's worth remembering: some have posted the idea over the years that ISU's offense struggles in some games against non-3 man fronts because they only see the ISU defense in practice.

I.e. they don't think or know ISU has scout teams that run the opponents' stuff all week.

This may or may not be the same crowd that thinks ISU doesn't practice free throws.

There is WAY more tape on Sowell and Townsend than there is on Overby and Eskildsen.

Not sure if this was the thread debating 2 1000 yd receivers or 4 500 yard receivers but give me two studs over wide receivers by committee.

Ya, I don't think it's particularly close. It's not like the guys after the two studs suck either.

Why is “receivers by committee” your only other choice?

And, is that what you call tOSU’s annual plethora of wideouts?

Basically saw this from Bud Elliott who I have a ton of respect for as a national college football voice. Thought it tied in well from the debate about replacing our two studs. Idk I didn’t really pick any criteria to be honest. Just what the tweet said. Basically, Bud is saying wouldn’t you want established 1 and 2 receivers instead of 6/7 capable guys? Obviously some rosters don’t have that choice.

No, I would not say tOSU is receivers by committee. They have had a stable of studs/NFL guys.

Thank you.

The way that our recruiting has been leveling up, I think we’re on the verge of having lots of NFL guys.

Agreed. I think we will be able to tell pretty early if we have “guys” on the outside or if we just have a group of serviceable receivers.

Maybe it won’t matter with how good the TE room is expected to be.

I feel like Mouser is WAY too eager for the latter.
