I'm kinda hoping Fred redshirts Naz this year. The kid can ball, but we needed him on the roster last year so bad because of the Bubu situation and no backup point guard. He obviously struggled but i think he could be a good big 12 PG. Great size, athleticism, and judging by his cap city league and high school number, he really knows how to score the ball. I would like to see him redshirt, and come back ready to rock in '14. We all love monte but none of us have yet to see him play college basketball. Monte will have Bubu and Kane in front of him but after next year its just him. '14 will be Custer's first year too. So if Naz sits out a year, gets better and adapts to the game, then you have a great 1-2 punch at PG in '14 with him and Monte.

Love this pickup! Just when you think ISU is going to slow down a bit, we hit the accelerator yet again -

LET ME MAYOR WIN!

Morris, Kane, SDW, Thomas, Hogue, Ejim, and Niang will all be hard to keep out of the starting lineup. Amardi should also be a far more athletic version of Booker. We are in great shape going forward.

Just think of the signs our crowd can make now.

"Don't forget about Dre"

"We're killing you. Let me call my brother the Undertaker." (Meme possibility here)

My main concern next year is going to be productive size in the post. We are going to be playing against some teams that will be problems for us because we may not have any bigs that can matchup. I'm not as worried on the offensive end as Fred will spread the floor and Niang is crafty enough to do damage down there. But on the defensive end, some teams will have guys that are 6'10 plus that are skilled that we will have to contend with. Niang may struggle on the defensive end against some of those guys and get into foul trouble. Then what? Percy needs to prove he be active on that end and defend and rebound. We don't know yet what Amardi can do either. We may be alright, but it is a concern.

not concerned, ISU will outscore teams - i don't see CFH teams to be known for their defense.

Were you concerned last year then too? We return our big men besides Booker who we didn't rely on in a lot of games. Niang guarded bigs every game last year.

Geesh guy, you make it sound like these "skilled, 6-10" guys are commonplace.
