DeAndre Kane visiting next week

No, because the Mountain West had good teams like BYU, San Diego State, UNLV, and New Mexico that year. The MAC didn't have any teams as good as those.

If they played the MAC, they were in Conference USA not much better but they do have Memphis...

oops, my bad. Another poster brought up Jake Anderson, who did play in the MAC, and he turned out really good. So I will keep an open mind.

Anyone else thinking Naz Long's scholly could be up for grabs since we have Morris coming in this year and Custer coming in next year? That would make sense to me, but what the hell do I know?

Who knows how things will shake out, but the staff sees Naz as an off-guard, so I am not buying your reasoning. Cust

If I would have posted this.....we would be on page 50 by the end of the night.

if I had a nickel.....id guess that one of our 4 jucos don't make it....no info at all...but just playing the odds.
Totally agree you have nothing.

Awww...it's cute that you are following me.

Oh!! By the way....sorry I didn't answer your questions earlier....i got a little busy today not giving a crap about your opinion. Thanks.

Okay, some deeper info on Kane. I looked through the schedule this last season and to those criticizing the competition, here is how he played against quality competition.
VS Villinova - 4pts, 7ast, 3rb
VS SDST - 19pts, 8ast
VS WVU - 13pts, 7ast, 3rb
VS Cincinnati - Did not play
VS UK - Did not play
VS Memphis - 22pts, 4ast, 5reb
VS Memphis - 16pts, 5ast, 7reb

Looking at his stats, he didn't just play well against bad competition, Memphis isn't bad and he played well enough for the, to want him.

Yup owned ya.

I do know edozie will be on the team for certain.so somebody else.

I have no idea who's scholarship Kane would take, but my prediction is that from now on, Hoiberg is done recruiting HS players that aren't top-100 caliber players. He'll take HS players like Niang, Vaughn, Thomas, Morris, Custer, etc, but I think he goes back to Juco's and transfers instead of reaching on HS players like Sledge, Percy, Okoro, Naz, etc.

Just my $0.02
Fred has said that he will recruit guys that others don't consider high majors if they can shoot and fit his system. I do agree that the bulk will be high rated recruits but they don't recruit with top 100 lists.

I want him, but should we expect him to be as productive in the Big 12? I mean he didn't exactly play against top notch competition, how is his game going to translate to Big 12 level competition?

If Fred Hoiberg thinks so, that's all I need.

And considering we've passed on other potential transfers because we were unsure how well they would play in the Big 12 or our system, I'd think that's all you'd need to know if Hoiberg does offer him a scholarship.

Fred is on the tee at 9:00 so Kane's interaction with him is probably already over.

More speculation? Please diaf.

Are they sandbagging Hilton? No, I know Kane isn't.

I'm in Minnesota. I can only assume that with erection of the flood walls/gate at least a minimum amount of sandbagging is required.

My fingers feel raw just thinking about filling sandbags.

Anybody have a pic of the flood walls/gate at Hilton? With so many people bagging on it (pun intended), it would be nice for all of us to see what you are talking about. I remember cleaning up the incredible mess in Hilton after the '93 flood. Anything that prevents that again is beautiful in my book.

I wish I could post the panorama I have of the '93 flood taken from the Stephens walkway, but I only have a hard copy and it is too wide to scan on my copier.

EDIT: Sorry, this should have been in the flood thread.

Didn't he score 25 against Louisville?
