DeAndre Kane visiting next week

He spit on a fan. He was dismissed from his team. He led the nation in technical fouls for two straight years. But he is very talented. The question is will his personality be a drag on the team more than his talent can help. I wonder what happened with Pitt? He was all set to go there and then after he visited he opened things back up.

He's a real class act. Great guy to have on the team with so many young players.

False

I don't really see how any starting lineup can't include Thomas. I would think he's the biggest sure fire starter outside of Niang and Ejim and Kane if he came.

Monte/Bubu
Thomas
Kane
Ejim
Niang.

Because we have SDW too who has a decent chance to beat out Thomas.

The whole debate on Kane reminds me a lot of when we signed Korie Lucious. A lot of people said he had bad character, was a locker room cancer...etc. While there were some bumps in the road last year, I don't think we would have made the tourney without him. Hoiberg has proven that he can handle guys with "character issues." If he thinks Kane can contribute to another tourney run I say sign him up!

Also, I doubt the staff would be looking seriously at another player unless they suspected that someone on the current roster was going to leave. I'm not going to speculate on who that is, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some more turnover in the coming weeks/months.

Transfers are a common thing. It's not like we have 4 guys coming in and sitting out every year. Kane doesn't even have to sit out, and can play right away and our young guards could greatly benefit from a veteran guard.

SDW is going to be a starter this year.

He very well could. That is what is so exciting about this next season. So many question marks and we get to see so many new cyclones take the court for the first time. It's anyone's game, will be nice to see who earns their spot. Those who say that there is no way Thomas doesn't start, SDW has a full year's experience playing against last years squad and from what I heard, they were pretty good.
Bottom line is, if Kane comes, he probably starts, it's a crap shoot to say at what position whether it be PG, SG, or SF though.

I would honestly put my money on SDW starting IMO...Thomas off the bench for that lift could prove to be very beneficial.

No one knows who will start next year except for Ejim and Niang and even with those two we don't know what position they will be starting at.

Barring major rule changes, CFH's "way" of constantly being prepared for high quality transfers is just going to be standard quite soon, hope we can prosper by it as much as we can until it becomes the norm.
