The biggest difference in this year's team and the last few is that they seem to still be strong and not fatigued. I think it's obvious that Andrews was a great hire.

Agreed. That Yahoo article also talked about Campbell using the downtime, because of the pandemic, to reflect and see how the team fades after October. His realization that you can’t do the D3 push yourself to the limits every practice, everyday. Being able to see that, and make the change to allow rest and recovery was also huge.

Was thinking that Campbell also placed blame for the same reason on himself for the UL game. Said he might wear out the players early and why they have so starts. Takes a good coach to look at trends and see something you are doing and not blame the players always.
Yes, I think Andrew's has played his part for sure, but I'd say our growth of depth throughout Campbell's tenure has played an equal, if not greater part in that sustained wind throughout the game. Being able to rotate a ton of guys in without much change in performance is huge to keep guys fresh. This is also one of the biggest things that separate the best programs from everyone else. We have just never been in that depth club in the past, and it has showed throughout in our history in our historical closing ability.

Part Three is the vast improvement of the offensive line, which also incorporates both Part One and Two, as Campbell’s own recruits finally come to the forefront.
It also comes back to CMC’s inspired (and much derided) choice of grad assistant Jeff Myers as his OL coach. Gosh, as if Matt Campbell doesn’t know what he’s doing...
Those three Parts are inseparably intertwined.
Jeff Meyers was a good hire, but it was possible because CMC and Manning both have a strong OL background.
We are winning because we have 8-9 Big 12 level OL players compared to 3-4 in the past. It is fun to imagine how good our line can be for the next few years with what we have seen this year.
They whole thing makes you honestly think that Manning to the NFL was planned as a one year deal. They put a grad assistant in his place as OL coach and Campbell calls the olays leaving the OC open. Manning comes back and fills the OC and I’m sure has assisted with the OL.
Hall and Kene look so much stronger this year. They look like dudes this year.

3. Campbell being willing to make the move from a guy that he brought here from Toledo is impressive. And it also doesn't scream someone that wants to jump to a new job fairly soon.

For sure. But regarding Breece he was a true freshman last year, he was probably always going to get a lot stronger.
Kolar seems to agree that Dave Andrews' team helped them.
If you looked at the participation reports all year, that number stopped right around 8 or 9, at the number of guys they trusted.
The thing is, even if Foster doesn’t come back, that number is only going to go up next year, maybe all the way up to 12-15. Which, considering the lines we’ve put on the field the last 15-20 years, is just jaw dropping.

It's been said their staff has the most contact during off season and you can tell based on his sideline roles he is trusted and valued.
And, these guys have all seen/felt success and know they can achieve championship levels...and that's what happens in the off-season!
