Maybe 30 years ago I’d agree.
Now, I’m going with the recruit Prohm mentioned as a point forward at 6’6” kid a 7’2” wingspan.
Very excited for all of them!
He was never listed as 7 foot at Iowa State but he is now. I believe the Greek kid was the last at 7'2. Conditt is very close to 7'0 as well. He is listed at 6'10 but I would argue he is closer to a true 7 footer.
Sounds a lot like someone we could use on this season's squad TBH. Excited for him to get here
@zsmart3 In two games at the @PrepNational , Iowa State commit @___dstone shot it at a scalding 17-for-26 clip. Proved himself as a prolific three level scorer with an array of one on one moves and knack for tough, timely shots

On a more relevant note, it talks about his shooting improvement but in that box score, he was only 1-3 from 3pt. He IS springy and is going to provide some length on the wing when he's ready to get on the floor for ISU.

The recent Iowa State pledge had a strong weekend in New Haven, scoring 45 points and reeling in 13 rebounds in a pair of games. Dubar’s first game of the weekend was particularly impressive, going 10-for-13 from the field, hitting all three of his three-point attempts and going for 27 points. A versatile forward, Dubar is impressive physically at 6-foot-7 and equipped with long arms and a strong build. Dubar can play inside or out. He’s an impressive athlete that plays with toughness and has the potential to be a multi-positional defender. He’s also capable of knocking down three-pointers.

Hmm, interesting that they had him at 6’7” SF/PF. It would be nice if he has added even more length.
Regardless, it sounds like he can play all over the court.

Dubar has slowly been climbing up as my favorite recruit of the class and if he’s truly 6-7, he might just be #1. Seems like he’s getting some impressive reviews lately. One would think he could see a nice rise in the rankings. As of now I’d still probably have Foster or Dudley #1 but I’m really liking everybody in this class.
You know.. it's exciting when someone asks the question of who to be the most excited for in the class and you have 6 to 8 posters answer and they all have a different "favorite". Dubar, Blackwell, Walker, Foster... great class.
So, with the lavish description , did we get our foot in the door at just the right time?
From my 3rd and 4th hand information, yes. Lots (or at least some) expert* talk about him cracking the top 150 or 100 before its over.
Walker was getting some scouts attention for being under ranked a few weeks earlier, I am going to be curious where the 4 man class ends up ranked in the final rankings. Prohm has shown a knack for identifying underrated players, getting their commitment early and them making a jump in rank once they graduate. Still a ways to go but early it looks like that could be the case.
Thing I like most about this class is the size each player has for their position, they all look to have B12 size, ability to play multiple positions, and could potentially threaten for minutes day one.
