Daniel Sams given release from KState

hate seeing this happen but understand that he has needs beyond his loyalty to k-state. too bad it didn't work out in manhattan. sams is a good kid and outstanding athlete. he just couldn't beat-out jake waters this year nor jessie ertz next. and he's too far behind the curve to win a starting wideout position, evidently.

Good. Everytime I heard that guys name I thought of the movie "Lean on me" with Morgan Freeman and him yelling at that kid Sams. Drove me nuts
I actually thought he was the better overall quarterback. Neither he or Waters is really that great throwing the ball, but Sams has wheels. I think this is pretty big blow for KSU.

Waters and Ertz tops two QB's and both from Iowa! Sams at one point two yrs ago was the heir to the QB throne down there
ertz is highly thought of by the coaching staff, yes. he had a nice spring. k-state also has an early recruit who is a dual threat guy and highly regarded down here.
