Let's be honest, those suites are not being marketed to about 99.99% of CF users.
True. They are marketing that to the athletes to get some of that $21 million payroll back. So... let's call it New athlete dorms, lol
 
No doubt but are their 60 donors / corporations out there shelling out $500k for apartment rentals?
Time will tell. The whole allowing multiple partners to take one on to split costs could help. But if the economy were to take a hit anytime down the road around the time of completion... companies taking a hit in the stock market will delete that cost real quick.
 
I guess I see a few types of people/businesses that will be in the market for the apartments.

The Corporate types that will get one as a write off, using it as a perk for employees and customers, giving it as a perk for a weekend etc, like some do with suites and tickets etc now. Or to use it as a tailgate type HQ for private parties etc for customers and employees.

The High roller that has disposable money and wants a party pad for weekends.

And also the short term rental business. That intends on renting it out AirBnB style. Which the other types could do this as well in times they are not using it as well, to offset the cost of it.

I have no idea what one could expect to earn from one of these on a short term rental market. Can someone pay for them and make a profit? I am sure they would be an expensive rent on event weekends, and as more and more events happen in the area, the income will increase. My guess would is that $3K would be an average price for a weekend stay during events, add in non event times and weekdays I would think it is possible to earn a profit. But that is just a total guess.

I don’t think many would take on that 10 year commitment assuming you are talking about current athletes. Maybe a select few formers like Purdy/Haliburton/Niang/Montgomery/Hall/Lazard. But that’s a real maybe.

I doubt they'll allow these to be used as short term rentals, at least in the free for all AirBnB format. They're essentially just a perk for the highest level donors.
 
And that's just the simple math of adding 30k x 10 plus the 500k, but really when we're talking what is essentially an apartment since you retain no equity, you should probably be looking at the value of that 500k as it could otherwise be sitting somewhere gaining money. You're probably looking at more like the equivalent of 100k\year.

That's the killer.

It would be an interesting scenario if you purchase the condo. Rent and hold until retirement. That could be kinda cool to be right in the heart of everything

The alumni walk looks neat. The Cylo amphitheater looks a lot more substantial than previously shown. Was hoping for a bit more of a statement building for the food and beverage anchor building (building B) next to JTS but everything looks nice.

I didn't see specific slides on the hotel, looks like it's still in design phase.
