Just change prices of the products. Nobody will care if you move the price of every item up 5 cents. People will care if you charge them a random fee. Guy is supposed to be a good business man but this seems like a stupid business decision that won’t make much money per customer anyway and will turn some customers off
Not cheap to print thousands of menus.

They responded to it. Basically they said prices are changing so much and so often, that it did not make sense or was practical to reprint menus constantly to reflect their cost increases. And that others are adding other fees like CC fees etc.

I dont have a feeling either way I guess on it. I understand the point, I also understand people getting caught off guard with it. I mean really what is the difference if they add the fee or increase the prices. The fact that they would have to constantly reprint menus just adds to the costs which in turns just gets pushed on to customers.

It pisses me off more when I go to a deli or some other counter service place that they pay their employees the proper non server wages, like any fast food place has too, and they expect a tip. Then make you decline the tip in about 3 screens instead of the default being no tip.

I have heard it was between Ames and Marshalltown for the location of ISU. Marshalltown got the Veterans Home instead....
I thought it was Ames and Cherokee? Maybe I heard wrong.

I am still confused as to what the Research Parks role in this will be. Besides being a conduit to attract tenants to the development. But you'd think they would want to fill out the research park first.

The Research Park is providing oversight of Goldenrod for the University, both in the development (design and build) stage and when they are managing the development. The Research Park has more staff and expertise in that area than the University. In return the Research Park members get priority for the office space in CyTown and use of some of the other amenities.

Need a CyTown update during these dark days to keep me from ending it all.

Thought we'd have something after the BoR meeting.
