Looking around Iowa fan sites tonight has me really appreciating CF and (almost) all of you who post here. This site is practically a full social media site compared to those dullards' sites.

I had the exact discussion today. Was the least amount and quietest I’ve ever seen from Hawk fans.

Even before the game was the least amount of stereotypical Fry wannabe douches yelling “go hawks” every 5 seconds as well.

It was declined for some reason and I'm not sure if it was clarified as to why.

Unpopular …but I think we need to move this game to every other year or something. Winning does little for us, it’s a really bad game to watch from an entertainment perspective. I’d be in favor of reducing the number of times we play Iowa. If B1G/SEC scheduling alliance is real, Iowa will...

There is a pretty good explanation why we declined the penalty some pages back in this thread. Something about if the penalty would have been enforced, it would have been half the distance from the 12 which meant it was a better spot for us and so we declined the penalty.

Yep, the penalty would have been enforced from the end of the kick, not the end of the return. Since Wetjen ran backwards before he was tackled, declining the penalty was better than accepting it.

I didn’t get it either until it was explained to me. Which you would think a nationally relevant TV broadcast crew might have done. Except they didn’t.

I actually thought the crowd was pretty decent for a CyHawk game. Usually you see a good dust up or two and I didn’t see any. I think the earlier kick probably played a role.

Im not one to questions coaches but why did we go away from Hansen in Q2 and Q3 for Sama.

Hansen is our back. Feed him.

Same thought. Abu in space is great, but Hanson much more of a grinder (but can also get loose).
