On that particular play, their receiver ran square into one of our Dbacks before he made his cut down field and well before Gronowski released the ball. There was nothing our Dback could do to avoid the contact. Regardless, Gronowski overthrew the receiver by a mile.

There’s a perfect angle in the full recap video Iowa State Football put out on socials. The ball looks to go right over the goal post. Definitely could’ve been called no good.

So I believe, and someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but the ball has to pass between the goalposts, it cannot go over. The goalposts are infinite tall figuratively.
my understanding... and not looking it up at the moment, is if part of the ball is outside of the upright it is considered no good. Happy to learn otherwise
