The better question is - What was Iowa State thinking doing a television deal that requires anyone outside of the state to watch on an F-ing computer?

In the past this game has usually been on mediacom 22, this is a huge improvement.

For people complaining, this would not have been broadcast ANYWHERE under old contracts. Not on TV, not on Internet NOT ANYWHERE. SO STOP YOUR FREAKING WHINING.

Second, I live out of state and I will watch the game ON MY TV. You know why? Because I thought ahead and made sure I had the setup to do it beforehand. Cyclones.tv was not announced yesterday. It is over a year old. If you didn't know that you could set up your tv to watch the game, then you are just being too lazy to figure it out.

Cyclone.TV is a huge step up from where we were before. Its about all you can expect, outside of the Big 12 starting its own network like the Big 10. You can just subscribe month-to-month for $10 and its easy to cancel online. I have an iPad and am able to stream from the Iowa State app via Air Play to my Apple TV. Works great, except for occasional hiccups.

I am sure that they tried to do that but Mediacom wouldn't allow it. And I agree that nothing is perfect but this is a HUGE step forward IMO.

I agree because I remember the days when only one or maybe 2 cyclone FB games were on tv, pay or otherwise.

So, I obviously know how to connect my computer to my TV, I wasn't born in 1940. Unfortunately I like watching games at bars that cannot figure it out.

All this ******** but the fact is television coverage this season is better than last season. Every game last year but one was carried on a national network and the same is true this season. The lone game last year was western Illinois and this year is UNI. Those two games were only on cycloneTV. Last year you could only watch it via a subscription. This year you can either watch it with a subscription or on Mediacom.

Not true. Had to illegally stream Texas game cuz it was longhorn network and only in Iowa.

Did someone really complain that it was a pain to hook up an hdmi cable to a tv? Some people can't be pleased no matter what.
Sad isn't it.

Half the reason I still keep my laptop is that it has HDMI out so it's easy to just have an extra cord there at all times. Perfect for espn3 and cyclone.tv

First, you don't have to go to a bar to watch the game. Second, under the old contract, no bar would have been able to pick up the game because it would not have been broadcast. The point is that this is much much better than what we have had in the past.

I have WiDi which is the same concept. That way I don't need to connect the laptop physically to the TV. But if you don't have WiDi, Chromecast or AppleTv, HDMI still works very well. I just don't get the people that complain about it being on the computer when it is SO EASY to connect a computer or IPad to your TV.

I'll contribute my $10 to be able to watch the game. Very happy that this content is available to us folks who are out of state, well worth $10.

NO! You can't be reasonable.

I want to watch the game via hologram on my coffee table. Come on this is 2013. ******* Pollard should make it happen.
