Why would you assume that? Dude got soft at nationals. A bit out of character, but it happened. Dresser even said so. Should we pretend like it didn’t happen?
I can say from experience, the term soft can never be applied to any wrestler at Nationals ever. Disappointing sure. But not soft

Look, if you want to pretend like he’s an automatic lock to light the MMA world on fire, go right ahead. You don’t need to be butt hurt when I point out the truth that he broke a finger and then decided he didn’t want to wrestle anymore at nationals. Not the behavior of a future UFC champ to me.
You're just making things up to be mad about. One guy posted that he thinks Yonger would be scary in the octagon. You turned THAT into claiming that people said he's going to light the MMA world on fire and is a future UFC champ and made that the "reason" to criticize him and call him a quitter.
Short story, we don't need people with your attitude "supporting" the team.
I know he has to get acclimated but What's the chance he's in the lineup this fall?

Life is not all rainbows and unicorns my man. It is my nature to be a bit more skeptical and pessimistic than a lot of fans, but guarantee you that I’m as big of a fan of ISU wrestling as there is.

Saying I’m not a fan is insane. You think I spend my time on this board just to troll all these people that the majority don’t know near as much about wrestling as I do? No, it’s because 1 I love wrestling and 2 I love ISU wrestling.
I’ve been a season ticket holder the entire Dresser tenure. Attended all the meets during the KJ era as well (but didn’t need season tickets cause I could sit front row with GA).
Wife and I drove down to KC and back Friday night just to watch DC in the semis (best fan moment of my life). 4.5 hrs each way after work.
Been to every wrestle off since they started doing them public, and every Humboldt dual. Probably own a dozen ISU wrestling specific shirts and 3-4 wrestling hats. I don’t even like ISU for anything but wrestling, so I don’t buy plain ISU or ISU football gear or anything else. Donated to CRTC.
I root for ISU wrestling 100%. I happen to also not be completely biased in everything I do. Yonger goes UFC, I hope to hell he becomes champ. Hope he wins NCAA and the hodge next year. That said, I’m skeptical of both.
I’d love to see YB win it all next year too. Thanks for your support of Cyclone Wrestling, Crablegs.

Crabs doesn’t look at everything with rose colored glasses and every man can have his own opinion without a meltdown. There needs to be skepticism as well as optimism to meet at reality. I’ve been around long enough to know he knows wrestling
It doesn't matter if someone knows wrestling. Whether a fan or not, the constant negativity and belittling of student athletes is not necessary. I have skepticism as well, but I don't come on here bashing our athletes.
When I was a college athlete, I remember how hard it was to meet my own expectations, let alone others'. That was before the days of social media. I know coaches tell the kids to stay off of message boards, but do they all listen? I doubt it. If constantly negative, it is best to keep that conversation off the boards!
