Cyclone Bags Board

If you have basic tools they are relatively simple to build. The toughest part is cutting the hole. A jig saw works but can be tricky to make a good hole. I bought a 6 inch hole saw to cut my hole but a fairly powerful drill is needed for that.
Most cordless drills may not work. Makes for a fun weekend project. Get some paint and a few decals and you are good to go.

Make your own! I did, and they are still in good shape. Cutting the hole is easy with a jigsaw, though I am moderately handy.

You need three 8ft 2x4 and a half sheet of decent plywood. Plus some lag bolts, washers, nuts. It's cheap and not hard to do.

For me the hardest part was painting and putting on 10-20 superthin coats of polycrilic. That took forever. Paint & wait. Paint & wait. For ages...

Next time I would just stain them nicely and use purchased decals.

If you do it yourself, this seems like the kind of thing you would do once then sell your first ones. Then make a second set for yourself without the small goofs you might make the first go round like the hole, amount of poly, etc. That’s how I go about stuff like that anyway.

I consider myself handy, wood working is my biggest hobby. I HATED trying to cut a perfect hole with a jig saw. Maybe I just suck at it, but I went through 3 pieces of plywood and it was never close to good enough. Then I bought a hole saw bit for my drill and was happy.

That’s how I feel about every project I do. I notice every mistake or imperfection and want to give it away and make a better one.

They also make fixtures for a router to make a round hole of any size.

I was going to say, spending $20 on a 6” hole saw is probably worth it. Also gives you an excuse to buy more tools.

I used my Rotozip for the hole and it worked great. You can find 2'x4' plywood at Menards, Lowes and Home Depot so it makes that easier. If you can't find it there they will cut if for you. As you said the painting/staining/poly was the longest part of the project. I did this in my basement to help with keeping the humidity down, although the wife wasn't too keen on the smell.

It comes with an attachment to cut holes. Works flawlessly.
