The coaches can agree on whatever weight they want. If Brands and Dresser agree to 165, then we start at 165.
If they don't agree, it's a coin flip. Winner gets to choose either the starting weight or odd/even (for 2nd-period choice). Loser gets the remaining choice.
damn @theshadow, you are wealth of knowledge in so many degrees of college athletics!
It would be neat if starting weight and choice could all be solved at center mat prior to the dual starting when the captains meet. I have never understood why the weight choice happens behind closed doors, it can be a big part of dual strategy.
Are we going do any of the bs they pull on us with no warm up area, etc?
For the bout sheet we are going to spell it out. Instead of 125 it will be one hundred twenty five pounds. When they have coaches that aren’t very bright, they won’t know who to list where.

I actually think the only way we see J Frost is if he’s up at 157 if Zerban isn’t 100% (no clue if he is or isn’t just my $0.02).
I think Paniro matches up better with Block, and Frost matches up better with placing at nationals.
Someone on the Iowa board is stating there was a wrestle off won by Frost and it will be Frost.
