Just wondering your thought process... How wouldn't the UM/OSU game compare to this one?
Im just saying from an environment standpoint, he is not used to it. I didnt meant compare as in this one was better, its just different. Again, he has played in big games, and im not insinuating he didnt. Apparently I spoke out of turn or it came across differently than i meant it. My bad folks! I will keep my brain farts to myself next time lol

In all seriousness, McNamara has played in about every environment possible so this one is not going to phase him. At Ohio State, at Penn State, college football playoff games, etc... I don't know if he's the savior they think he is but from a atmosphere standpoint, dude's been there and done that.

I'm not down playing the atmosphere. But in state, conference, out of state, guys played in just about every kind of rivalry there is.

Playing at OSU and PSU are definitely tougher environments to play in.

Need to throw a deep route early. Just have rocco absolutely launch it. This does two things, 1, helps him relax and get some adrenaline out, second, if the receiver is even close to open, Iowa has to suddenly be prepared for it
I like this idea, but I also remember previous iowa games when Iowa St went a whole game without throwing it deep.

The only thing that's different is that he's never played a good defense without weapons surrounding him.
Brian Ferentz and their offensive philosophy is more the issue than anything. I think you would be underestimating them if you think he doesn't have any weapons. Kaleb Johnson is very good at RB and the combination of All and Lachey is better than he had at Michigan at TE. Receivers were definitely better at Michigan but though he hasn't done anything yet Kaleb Brown would have been the highest ranked receiver out of high school at Michigan since Donavan Peoples Jones. The rest of their receivers are meh though.

Game time forecast: 84 degrees, mostly sunny, 5mph winds
We know our D is good.
Will we be able to run the ball? Norton and Sama looked good.
Pass the ball? Noel, Moore, Dean, Burkle, Ngoyi, Higgins, Stanley....
Will Iowa have the edge on special teams this go round? We looked good last week.
I think we win. Plan to watch at Diamond Jo's sportsbook near IA/MN border.
We are Cyclones... all of us have good D's.

It all depends on if the Clones can run the ball and not put ourselves into obvious passing downs. Minimizing the chance for Iowa’s defense to tee off on a QB making his second start and limit turnovers. Also going to have to throw vertical which we didn’t a ton of last week
