He is so good at that stuff. NO WONDER his players love him to the point we could pull off a win like that.

The truly amazing thing is he's good at that stuff because it's 100% genuine. No other coach in America could have come in after the Chizik incident and made comments about ISU being "one team" the first day on the job and gotten a bunch of 18-22 year old guys to actually believe he was serious.

I remember playing for the State Championship in Cedar Falls, and our coach gave us no speach at all. And besides being tied at half, seemed ****** we weren't winning. I remember one of our Captains at the time (I was a junior) coming up and saying, "hey, let's do this for coach!" (his nephew) I just wish we had a coach that came out and gave us that kind of talk to inspire us in the least bit. I remember telling the lineman as we walked out after half time, "Let's do this for us, the coach will probably get another chance." Anyone think that Rhoads really doesn't give a **** about himself as long as the team is a team and playing as one. I'd have hit a Mac Truck head on for Rhoads! Why, because I know he wouldn't want me to do it for him, but because he'd want me to do it for the team.
