It’s marketing. He needs a match up that will make him money but the UFC is set up against him right now. He likely won’t fight at 145, where he would dominate. He could quickly get a title shot at that weight. 155 is Gaethje and Khabib for title. Both of those would beat him. 170 should be Masvidal and Usman for title, plus those 170 dudes are huge compared to him.

He’s on the outside looking in on the big money title fights. What are his options? Nate Diaz trilogy? Old Anderson Silva catch weight 175? Will those sell?
