Does anyone else think the Big 10 needs a championship game at the end of the regular season? With some major conferences not having championship games, it really penalizes some of the better conferences with championship games that could potentially have 2 BCS teams, but the late season loss kills the losers BCS ranking. Then you have a somewhat weaker conference like the Big 10 getting 2 teams in because their conference setup prevents the late season loss for one of their top 2 teams.

I really think that they do need one but if you think about all the conferences that have a Championship game they have two different divisions. It would be too tough for the Little 11 to do that with an odd number. There would be a lot of scrutany if they took the top two teams and played them against each other if there were ties.

Yeah but a lot of years it hurts them to not have a conference championship game. Like the years where everybody is down but OSU and Michigan but neither is in the national title game because their conference schedule is so weak. In this case if they had a conference championship it might be enough to boost their ranking/strength of schedule into the national title game. I think most of the time it's an advantage to have the game. It might let an extra team slip into the BCS for your conference too.

I have a nominee for the 12th team in the Big 12, ISU, we could join the Big 10 and let Colorado St. or Boise St. take our spot in the Big 12. It would help us in all sports. I would love to have that west Football Schedule, Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern, llinois, and Wisconsin. East would be Penn State, Michigan, OSU, Indiana, Purdue, and Mich. State.

Cross over 2 or 3 every year and rotate like now.

I think it would help ISU especially with the sweet TV deal the Big Ten has.

I think all BCS conferences should either have a championship game or none of them should...the rules should be the same across the board. In most cases, the playing of a championship game in the conference has hurt teams since the BCS came into play. Of course, Florida this year was actually helped by playing and winning the conference championship game.
