Concern for next year

I am concerned that next year at this time, the OP and others posters will be whining about this topic again.

You forgot Kourtlin Jackson?

yes! I think Jackson could be a decent bench player. Like, someone who could come in during an emergency foul/injury situation, play, and not totally screw things up. Looking forward to seeing him play in mop up minutes early in the season.

Not disagreeing with anyone, but its not like the OP doesn't have some okay thoughts if McKay doesn't get a waiver and/or whatever else he brings up "could hypothetically" happen. But, I imagine alot of teams could relate to those concerns "if" this or that would happen. My concern for next year would be more about the fan reaction. A 14-0 start was something we havent seen the likes of for a long time. How cool was that? Yet, the sky was falling for many when we had the 3 game losing streak in conference play. Any struggles we have early doesn't equate to the final product. Yet, I can see it already.....first coupe of close losses and people will be scrutinizing the team and players to the hilt. Why isn't BDJ more like Kane....has Niang's foot healed...who's messed up the chemistry...etc. What last years team accomplished was unbelievable. While my expectations are going to be high for next years team, (and every future team- thanks Fred) it doesn't mean we forget that wins are earned and the opponents are going to be dang tough as well. The conference lost some 'stars', but the big 12 will be even more of a grind next season, imo.

So what do most ISU people see the ISU starting five being from Day One (aka before McKay is eligible)? Morris, Long, Dejean-Jones, Hogue and Niang?

Will be interesting to see based on that how much of a penalty Hoiberg gives Nadel for his DUI. Last Kansas guy to get a DUI missed 9 games and he was at least above the legal drinking age.

What's your stupid *** point now?

I think I made my point, which is that I wonder if Hoiberg will have the stones to suspend a guy for more than a few games like he should even though the guy is slated to be a starter and McKay isn't available until after first semester. I don't think a two game slap on the wrist is enough.

Who are you to decide how many games a player should be out?

GFY troll. Why do you keep showing up over here? ****in loser.

Did I send a request to ISU to ask to be the decision maker? No. I just stated my opinion on what I thought. There is a 22 page thread with Iowa State fans posting how long they thing the suspension should be. No problem with that?

What's fair then?

Hanner Mosquera-Perea from Indiana got two games. Justin Drummond from Toledo got one. Trey Zeigler from Pitt got 2 games a couple years ago. Tyler Olander from UConn got zero.

I'm having a tough time finding many penalties longer than a couple of games, for DUI arrests. So, what's your basis for thinking that Nader's punishment should be significantly more than those?

Even though you were allowed to sign into CF as a kansas fan you do not deserve to have an opinion on ISU matters.
Especially since you question the stonage of our beloved leader.

One of the few longer was to some chump from KU, but not really the same given KU was a program running amuck with violence and needed an example to be set. Now, had our basketball team just had a breakout of assuslts like KU, I have little doubt Fred would give him more.

Here's a few more.

2011-Chad Adams, New Mexico, 2 games. (Alford talked tough and originally said he'd sit 4. Only sat 2 in the end)
2011-Chance Stanback, UNLV, 1 game suspension.
2011- Jamaal Franklin SDSU, 1 game suspension.

well said. My point is only that a couple of game suspension for DUI seems right in line with what a lot of schools do. Apparently they're also guilty of "slap on the wrist" punishments.
