Problem is I can't really reinstall windows XP on here because it's a netbook and I have no CD ROM drive... it came with XP on it already... I don't even know how to start from scratch..

Did removing this from the startup folder in all programs help??

Never thought to try that. Def. way faster in safe mode. Must be some sort of application slowing me down then huh? I only have a couple programs installed.... AVG free virus protection, firefox, picasa, AOL instant messenger, Windows MP, and Quicktime...

Safe mode doesn't load all drivers so it could be a bad driver. Try updating your audio/video drivers since that seems to be where you're having issues.
If that doesn't help, while in safe mode, start removing apps one at a time. Reboot in normal mode after removing one and see if it helps. If not, repeat process until you run out of stuff to remove.
