GREAT writeup by Chris, however I disagree about the lighting. While it's nice to have a brigher court, it reminds me more of a place like Tech where they have to lower the lighting on the crowd because no one shows up. On TV it made it look like we were hiding empty seats. I think it was better when we had more lights on the crowd as it showed how full Hilton is on ESPN. Also have heard some complains fans in the seats had trouble reading the banners.


Hope they find a happy medium.

As I said elsewhere, it reminds me of Carver-Hawkeye, which upsets my stomach. And in addition to the balcony, half the parquet is also dark. The lighting was something that made Hilton unique for me. So, not a fan.

Whatever, I'll get used to it. Chalk it up to getting old and not liking change.

So.....how do you suggest the topic is discussed? It seems pretty clear to me that people who discussed it in this appropriate location all were civil about their opinions with reasoning to back up their opinions. Who was actually "********" about it?

Love the lighting. Looks like an NBA arena to me. Never liked the super-bright arena we had. Darker is better
