COLUMN: An apology to Paul Rhoads

Wait, CW thought Baylor got this good by doing things the right way? Nobody could have predicted the crap that's going down but turning around a program that fast will always have skeletons if you open some closets.

FROM THE CW APOLOGY:
"But for the past five years, I often criticized the branding of your football program. Iowa State football wasn’t hip enough for me."
"...but that’s never what appealed to me about Briles. It was that "cool" brand that Baylor football had become that I envied for Iowa State."

My opinion hasn't changed on the branding, etc. I feel guilty about comparing Paul directly to the scumbag Briles for all of these years. I pointed at Baylor and said, "Those guys get it. They are doing it right."

Excuse me for being critical Chris, but quite frankly, I look at this as more of an apology to the Cyclone Nation about your infidelity to the Cyclone brand, than an apology to Paul Rhodes for being unsupportive when things got tough.

Sexy: What is the definition?
The stands were packed despite the low number of wins (something TV commentators never failed to mention); The excellent enclosed practice facility; The expanded workout area/training facility; The SEZ.
Is it possible that you do not see that Iowa State IS incredibly sexy?
Was the grass at Baylor really greener? Or was it just the wins?

OK Chris, I'm done. I accept your apology.
I hope your judgement becomes more sound in the future.
Thank you for being the driving force behind CF.

Still can't spell Rhoads right, even with him being gone?

No. I figured they were bending rules. Most programs do. I didn't for one second think they were covering up sexual assaults though. Big difference.

Hopefully they can change your "Art Briles 4 Life" tattoo to read "Fart Piles 4 Life" or "Smart Smiles 4 Life" or something . . . :twitcy:

Chris catching hell for his Briles love...i get it. Even though it is widely known that he was so public about it mostly to get under people's skin. On the surface it looked really admirable-historically awful team being revamped to greatness in a short period of time. Truly a great accomplishment, Briles knows football. He did at Baylor what Iowa State has only done on a TV screen opposite of your PlayStation controller.
