Not surprised. Temple is in a warzone and there isn't enough police/security to protect the studentsUpon getting to LaSalle's campus that day we were escorted to our first building by campus security and when we asked why were told that a student was stabbed on the corner the previous night by a homeless person.
Further North of Temple, but, yes in a rough part of town.I'll see your Temple and raise you LaSalle (also in Philly) and University of Bridgeport (Bridgeport, Connecticut).
It's actually based in Iowa Falls. I'm pretty sure. Which down by the river is kind of pretty. Are you saying ECC doesn't count?!?!?!
Missoula is quite nice as well.
This doesn’t surprise me in the leastMadison Wi, freshman NWICY went to Madison on a club trip went to the Kit Kat Klub(?)saw people doing lines of coke on the 2nd level that was a eye opening experience for small town Iowa kid.
Figured the partied way harder than my group that I ran with at ISU.
Iowa City's a classic college town. I really enjoy it.I really appreciated Lawrence when I first went there, but it was summer so it was a lot quieter than it would normally be. But even then, the vibe seemed really chill.
Iowa City isn’t as bad as people here say it is. Very similar to Lawrence. Gets a lot of undeserved hate. But I’m probably biased.
You would have loved this place in Athens.Iowa City's a classic college town. I really enjoy it.
It's just the rivalry thing. Most of my friends who went to Iowa loved coming to Ames as well. Both are objectively awesome college towns, and anyone who's slamming one or the other is doing it from a place of bias that has nothing to do with the community itself, IMO.
Lawrence honestly felt like a combination of Iowa City and Ames to me. It had the slick downtown that was very reminiscent to Iowa City, but then when we went towards the stadium and bar hopped at the little bars that randomly pop up in residential neighborhoods near the stadium, it very much reminded me of West Ames and places like Thumbs and Mothers.
I had really wanted to do that game, but I had a one month old at the time and had already kinda started harvest. You would have loved this place in Athens.

Yes. The campus was nice (as most are) and good restaurants. The traffic was heavier than I like.Anybody else been to Durham?
The town is kind of rough but the Duke campus is really cool. We were walking around and found Cameron Indoor, doors wide open and nobody there so we went in and got some pictures on the court. This was in July.
