There was a Lipsey interview a few days ago about how the players met after a bad game and then sat doen with the coaches to discuss their approach.

Basically I think they had tried some new things and it wasn't going well so it was time to scale things back and get everyone on the same page

I don't know much about Schmidt but sometimes being a good coach requires involving the players in the discussion or leading it and also making them feel comfortable with approaching you.

I’ve been really down on our halfcourt offense, but that was a great game offensively. First half got a ton of good looks, and start hitting them second half. Carved them up.

Our half court offense has been good for the most part when we have Jefferson. Tonight, it was pretty uncreative. I would have liked to see us try some more pick and roll with mommy or more “4 out offense” with guys at the wings and corners ready to shoot

It was good when we got it one-on-one iso ball or had some elite shot-making. It isn’t from any design. Watch the movement and passing on offense of the teams in the elite 8. So much better than ours.
