I agree! Seems like BOTH the men and women suffer from this! This is a winnable game but, as you said in your previous post, we HAVE TO MOVE ON OFFENSE and, I'll add, STOP turning the ball over.

11 to 1 in turnovers.. If not for that, we would be up by a LOT.

Looking to see in the 2nd half if they can get some offense again. 2nd quarter pressure sort took us out of running anything. Relied a lot in NC against weak foes in having Joens play down low like a power forward and getting to t he line or scoring at will. That's not likely to be happening as much in Big 12 play.

So far, been a good test for both teams
 
Need some help from the refs this half. Texas can’t be allowed the best the crap out of us or it will be a tough go.
 
The problem is defense tonight. Texas has hardly missed. Not sure why jones is trying to guard a post a foot taller. Other than texas is huge. Also not sure how they have lost 5 games.
 
Joens has been taken out of the game by UT. Only 4 points and every time she touches the ball she is beaten like a piñata.

Even the rebounding diff has disappeared. Offense is completely out of sync. When they move and drive they are ok. Too much standing and dribbling. When someone does drive a little the other watch like it’s on tv.

and I should add.. my favorite is when the air guitar one comes up and they play a song that has no real guitar riffs in it at all. It’s embarrassing!
 
Or that the game was scheduled during prime homework time. Or something.
 
Iowa State has always struggled against the really athletic teams. Just not enough size and speed. They did look fairly good earlier but then again the only game I saw was iowa. So probably my bad. Turned it off if that helps.

there is a diff between athletic and physical. Is UT athletic ? Yes. Ask them to play basketball and I like our chances. Add the uncalled physical aspect and they are much more physical than we are...they have some horses out there. But we all know beating us up is the tried and true formula for winning. If it’s called (like last week) then we win. If they don’t play physical (like TTech) we win.

And gosh, it gets disheartening to write and read that over and over.
