I disagree, there is no problem with them removing it from their services. They have apologized for it several times and think it doesn't represent their current values. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

I have many photos of myself and my family in my home hanging on the walls. The argument you're making is that I should include pictures of myself drunk as hell at a bachelor party or I'm whitewashing my past. That's not true, it's just that behavior is not reflective of who I am currently, and that's the same thing Disney is doing here.

I am not sure an individual choosing not to focus on youthful indecisions is quite the same as a megacorporation removing from circulation the evidence of its past sins when those past sins, in many cases, had quite a bit to do with the megacorporation gaining the power, influence, and wealth that it currently enjoys.

No. I doubt the Hunt family will change the name of the franchise their own family started. That, and there is nothing wrong about the "Chiefs."

Mahomes and the city are going to try to get the NBA to start a franchise there and they'll be the Monarchs.

The Hunts already changed the franchise name once. I suppose they can always go back to the original franchise name. The Texans. Kansas City Texans, that has some real grit to it!

How long before the TOE dumps the 'Hawkeye" name? Another Native American reference to go down?

I think the name "Hawkeye" translates to "Easy Schedule."

Testifying
From some stories I've read:
Owner wants to change it.
New name for 2022. Considered "Tribe" but not going that way, talked to Native Americans. Open to Spiders. Will not consider being called "Cleveland Baseball Team."
Will still sell "retro" merchandise with Indians name and actually unretiring Chief Wahoo for that merchandise. (LOL)
