Chili Recipe

Was just in a chili cook-off two weeks ago. Five entries and each had beans. No beans, and you may as well just have a bowl of broth.

3lbs of ground beef
2 cans of roasted diced tomatos
1 can of black beans
1 can of pinto beans
1 can of light red kidney beans
1 can of dark red kidney beans
2 28oz cans of tomato sauce
2 cans of diced green chilis
1 medium white onion
2 jalapenos
diced garlic
salt, pepper, cumin, and chili powder to taste
Then the most important step, SET IT AND FORGET IT!

Half beef, half venison. Beans are fine, just don't overdo them. Lots of tomato chunks. Bits of jalapeno's. Chili powder.

Canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. Toss them in a food processor and add as much to your chili as you can handle. They're not murderously spicy but they add some kick and a nice smoky quality.
